When you arrive in Carpignano Sesia you almost don't realize that there is a hidden medieval heart. Ask the inhabitants to tell you how to reach the "Castle", as the Carpignanese call it. What you will see are walls built with river stones laid out in a herringbone pattern. They are houses that also date back to the 15th century.
