Cycling
Up until 1972, farmers filled fresh milk into milk cans. These were parked on the so-called "milk bench" in front of the yard. A local farmer collected all the cans from the farms and transported them to the dairy in Tostedt. The milk truck driver came back at noon. The whey, buttermilk or skimmed milk that might have been ordered was then in the cans.
