This self-service cabin is a good base camp for nearby Storhøpiggen. A loop of Svarttjønnholet is also a great option, particularly when a herd of stallions graze here during the summer months. The cabin features on the Omveien trail, a SignaTUR that opened in 2022.

The farm here is associated with one of Norway’s great mountain poets, Theodor Caspari, who lived here for many years and was inspired by the area’s natural beauty.
