During the church's renovation in 1958, the wooden altar screen and the gallery were removed. The chancel was given a new, more modern character with a round stained-glass window by the artist Claus Wallner, depicting Christ as Lord of the World, and a sandstone altar table, at which time the eastern entrance was bricked up.
The separate bell tower was erected in 1967.
