Very well-kept village with an interesting church, as the bell tower is separate.

The current St. Andrew's Church was built in 1811 in place of its dilapidated predecessor as a fieldstone building in the Neoclassical style. After a fire in 1874, St. Andrew's Church was rebuilt two years later. During the church renovation in 1958, the wooden altar screen and gallery were removed. The chancel was given a new, more modern look with a round stained-glass window by the artist Claus Wallner, depicting Christ as Lord of the World, and a sandstone altar table. The eastern entrance was bricked up. The separate bell tower was built in 1967. The chancel was redesigned again in 2004 with the construction of a blue-painted altar screen incorporating the round window. Among the interior furnishings, the Gothic altar candlesticks and the crucifix by the Hamburg artist Fritz Fleer (1958) are noteworthy.kirche-ll.de/gemeinden/lauenburg/sahms/geschichte.html
