The Coburg marketplace is the urban center of Coburg. The course, which is connected by seven lanes with the old town, lies at an altitude of 297 meters above the sea and has a width of 74 meters and a length of 76 meters to a size of about 0.56 hectares. It was created in the early 15th century. Previously, the market took place on the western cemetery in the Morizkirche. As early as the middle of the 15th century, the square was paved. Here, the trade route crossed from Nuremberg to Erfurt, which led from Ketschengasse diagonally across the square to Spitalgasse, with the connection from Prague to Frankfurt am Main, via Steingasse coming from the east, and Judengasse leading west.(Source: Wikipedia)
