Copper Trail passes by a canyon on the way to Valerie Lake, which is part of the Chadburn Lake Canyon, also sometimes referred to locally as the Chadburn Canyon or a side canyon of the Yukon River valley. It’s one of a few small basalt cliffs and ravines carved by glacial meltwater and tributary creeks in the Chadburn Lake Recreation Area.
