At first glance you think you see an immense plain of only bush and cap heath on the Strabrechtse Heide, but nothing could be further from the truth. Around the fens - the Beuven is the largest fen in the Netherlands! – grow special plants such as water spoon and carnivorous sundew. Get down on your knees to admire this and other beautiful bloomers. There is a good chance that you will also see one of the many dragonfly species, because the fens are teeming with them, or a moor frog or maybe even a natterjack toad.
