Dova is a charming village located in the Alta Val Borbera, precisely in the valley of the Gordenella stream. Its existence dates back as early as the 9th century. A document dated 869 reveals that the emperor Ludovico II of the Holy Roman Empire gave the Court of Dova to his wife Angelberga as a place for hunting and entertainment. In the village there is also a small church which offers fascinating views over the valley.
