Karl-Heinz Schamal was a German sculptor known for his figurative work. He mainly created human figures in bronze and sandstone, which are often found in public spaces. His best-known works include the "nurse" in Berlin-Friedrichshain, the "female figure" in the Warnemünde spa park and the concrete relief at the Berliner Kino International. Until 1990 Schamal was a member of the Association of Visual Artists of the GDR.
