The current church was rebuilt between 1927 and 1930 in Diegem brick in Gothic-Romanesque style. The demolition stones of the old church and the correction house of Vilvoorde were used for this. On May 27, 1930, the church was consecrated by Cardinal Van Roey. The late Gothic tower is from 1646.
