The Karlskirche in Zweibrücken, also known as the Schlosskirche, is an important historical and architectural landmark of the city of Zweibrücken.
The church was built between 1715 and 1720 under the direction of the architect Jonas Erikson Sundahl. It originally served as the castle church for the nearby Zweibrücken residential palace and was a central location for religious and social events of the royal court. The church is named after Charles XII of Sweden, who was the feudal lord of Zweibrücken at the time.
The Karlskirche in Zweibrücken is not only an outstanding architectural masterpiece of the Baroque period, but also a living place of history and culture. Its impressive construction and rich furnishings make it an important landmark and a central part of the cultural and religious life in Zweibrücken.

The Protestant Karlskirche in Zweibrücken is in the center of Zweibrücken, not far from the Ducal Castle and the Alexanderskirche. It was ruled by King Charles XII of Sweden between 1708 and 1715. (1682-1718) erected.
The hall church is a stretched octagonal building with a high hipped roof. Since the reconstruction after the Second World War, a high tail crest has crowned the modern, square church tower. The tower and the roof do not connect directly to each other, which emphasizes the tower's unique position. A dial is attached to the outward-facing sides of the church tower. In the corners are the coats of arms of Sweden, Palatinate-Zweibrücken, the city of Zweibrücken and Rhineland-Palatinate. There is a weathervane on top of the tower.

During the reconstruction, the slate-covered roof was increased from 12 to 14 meters. At the southern end of the hip (roof area above the gable end) sits a cross with three Swedish crowns. In the course of the reconstruction work, a second level was built into the interior of the church at the height of the original gallery. The community rooms are on the ground floor and the church room is on the upper floor.

The outer facade is divided vertically by pillars made of sandstone. In between, the outer walls are plastered in white.

The Protestant Karlskirche in Zweibrücken is a registered cultural monument. The Historical Association of Zweibrücken e.V. has been involved in the maintenance of the building for years.
