The Tongelreep is a tributary of the Dommel, which rises in Belgium on the Kempisch Plateau near Erpekom, a village in Peer. During its 25 km on Belgian territory, the river is called Warmbeek. From its origin, the Warmbeek runs in a due northerly direction approximately parallel to the Dommel. On Belgian territory, it passes through Peer, Grote-Brogel, Kaulille, Sint-Huibrechts-Lille and Achel. Once across the national border in the Netherlands, the stream has become a wider river and is called Tongelreep. It goes via Valkenswaard and Aalst to the mouth in the Dommel before Eindhoven. The Tongelreep flows past the Achelse Kluis, the Leenderbos, the Valkenhorst with its fish ponds, and the Genneper Parks.
