Hiking
In the depths of the tower, ice was piled up in winter. In summer, as needed, it was then taken.
The tower, built above this ice pit, served to protect from the heat and the sun.
A thick roof, now destroyed, topped it all.
It is the only ice house in the Haut-Rhin, with that of the Reinach family in Hirtzbach.
