Jakobiger Summit

From the Jakobiger you can enjoy wonderful views of the surrounding peaks, valleys and the beautiful Leidsee.The ascent to the Jakobiger is not marked, but it is not really difficult and leads up over rocky and stony terrain.The marked blue / white paths that lead past the Jakobiger require a bit more surefootedness and a head for heights and it is essential to pay attention to dry conditions! The trails have a level of difficulty from T4 to T5 I and are secured with chains and ropes at difficult points.I did the tour from the Arnisee over the Ruchälplistock, Jakobiger, Leutschachhütte and was absolutely thrilled. The tour is extremely varied, both technically and scenically. The level of difficulty of the tour extends from T2 (in the Arnisee, Sunniggrat area) to T5 (Ruchälplistock area, Leidseepass). The grippy rock make climbing a real pleasure, tricky and exposed areas have safety devices and were amazingly easy to do. The toughest section was the chain-secured ascent to the Ruchälplistock, which can also be skipped. In terms of landscape, nature offers you almost the entire range of forests, bushes, meadows, scree, rocks, lakes and streams.In short, the tour is a good mix of hiking and wonderful climbing fun in an extremely varied landscape.
