The impressive stone arch bridge spans the Werra and connects the city with the historic suburb of Blume. The 105 meter long bridge was first mentioned in a document in 1329. Today the bridge is a monument and is only open to pedestrians and occasional vehicle traffic. The original five zygomatic arches of the old stone bridge are always a great photo motif.

Hiking

The first massive bridge in the former Münden was the old Werra bridge from the 14th century. The next solid Weserübergänge existed during the Middle Ages as well as in the early modern period in Höxter and in Hameln. In 1852, after four years of construction, the stone railway bridge over the Werra for the Dransfelder Rampe was built as a further bridge in Münden, then called Hannoversch Münden.
