In this spot you'll find the remains of a historical yew tree. Local legend has it that the song 'Rock-a-bye Baby' relates to a local character in the late 18th century, Betty Kenny (Kate Kenyon), who lived with her husband, Luke, and their eight children in a huge yew tree in these woods-Shining Cliff Woods where a hollowed-out bough in the tree served as a cradle. This is also a great spot to start exploring the Mtb trails. There are LOADS, all super loamy, rooty with some embedded rock. There are some gap jumps, table tops, drops and step downs so a track walk is recommended.
