One of the best known places in Olevano sul Tusciano is, without a doubt, the so-called "Giardino del Papa", a site inextricably linked to the much better known "Grotta di San Michele". Those who go to the cave of the patron saint of Olevano sul Tusciano will hardly give up a short walk in the "Pope's Garden", to trample that ground of which the old speak almost with reverence, to set foot in the place where, almost a thousand years ago I am, one of the greatest characters in history of all time sought solace in his sadness.

The ancestors narrate that during the Pope's stay in the cave there was one day that food supplies ran out and naturally both the Pope and his close collaborators who shared the exile in the land of Olevano lacked them.
The Pope ordered them to sow cabbage on the site which is still called the Pope's Garden today.
The Pope's orders were carried out and with immense wonder and indescribable amazement after three days they collected lots and lots of soup that was enough for everyone and for many days.
Miracle! Well our ancestors affirm, believe and agree in this event a miraculous, exceptional and unpredictable fact.
