Mountain biking
The site is particularly well known for the remains of an ancient Roman city, but its history begins much earlier, with evidence of occupation dating back to the Iron Age. Archaeological discoveries include housing structures, defense systems and materials that testify to the economic and social activities of the people who lived there.
Mesas do Castelinho offers a valuable insight into the Romanization of the territory and the previous cultures that shaped this part of Portugal.
