Hiking
Swords area is not a real hiking area as it lacks suitable hiking trails and walking the roads is not an option. The two local 18-hole golf courses of Roganstown, next to the Broadmeadow River, feature a number of paved footpaths. Non-playing visitors are tolerated as long as you they don't get in the way of the "working" golf players. The golf course is well-maintained and offers some beautiful views.
