Bullay Double-Deck Bridge
The bridge in Bullay is Germany's first double-decker bridge.
The bridge in Bullay is Germany's first double-decker bridge. The 314-meter-long bridge was built between 1875 and 1878 during the construction of the Koblenz-Trier railway line as part of the "Kanonenbahn" (Cannon Railway).
During World War II, supplies to the Western Front ran over the bridge. On February 10, 1945, it was destroyed in an air raid and rebuilt, reopening on April 24, 1947.
