At the DLRG guard of the local group Hattingen-Süd e.V. one passes, if one drives the Ruhr between Hattingen and Bochum-Dahlhausen. This place is a highlight because you can always get help there, no matter in which emergency.
There is also a bank where you can have a nice break.
In the parking lot in front of the building (not on the grounds!) You can park well, to cycle or hike from here.
