The Braakman-Zuid area has been organized in a number of phases. In 2018, Staatsbosbeheer became the owner of one of the missing pieces along the Isabella Canal. A piece of farmland has been converted into a nature reserve, together with a few other areas that were already owned by Staatsbosbeheer. The latest developments were completed this year. With these changes, the nature reserve has now been expanded with 36 hectares of new nature.
