Ittendorf Castle, today Ittendorf Palace, is a ruined hilltop castle and later a palace on a hill about 440 m above sea level in what is now the Ittendorf district of the small town of Markdorf in the Bodenseekreis in Baden-Württemberg. The castle and the church of St. Martin are considered to be the landmarks of Ittendorf.

The castle of the Schenken von Schmalegg, a Welf-Staufen ministerial family, was probably built in the 13th century and is documented around 1260. In 1302 the castle and the village became the feudal dependency of the Salem monastery through a formal sale.[1] The castle was destroyed in the Peasants' War of 1524.[2]

The castle was built by the Einsiedeln monastery on the castle site in the 17th century and expanded from 1671 to 1677 as a governor's residence.

The castle, surrounded by a medieval ring wall, is a three-story stepped gable building that has been privately owned since secularization.
