    Fort Aniola, or Engelsburg, is an ancient fortification on the west bank of the Sweaf dating back to the 19th century (1854-1858). Because of its shape, it is called in memory of Mausoleum of Emperor Hadrian in Rome Castel Sant'Angelo. In the 20th century, it was expanded several times and used until the eighties militarily.
    Today there is a trip café with a terrace and a gallery.

        Fort Castel Sant'Angelo - a museum of military architecture. Built 1854-1858 under the rule of the Prussian King Friedrich Wilhelm IV. As an artillery lookout point of the Świnoujście fortress (it consisted of 4 forts). In the three-story building, the ground floor was manned by small arms infantry, and the floors were used for light field artillery. Cannons and ammunition were carried up with ropes through oval openings in the ceilings.

        During the Second World War, Fort Engelsburg, rebuilt and equipped with all available technical achievements (electricity, central heating, radar, radio stations, telegraph, telephone), served as an air surveillance station for the German armed forces. After the war, Fort, which was taken over by the Russians until 1992, was an aerial observation and communication point with the ships of the Soviet fleet.
