History:
Around 1476 the area was diked and Sint-Annaland was founded. A parish church was inaugurated in 1486. In 1492 a Crosier monastery was founded and in 1494 the church dedicated to Saint Anne was built, which was also used as a monastery church from 1505 onwards. The monastery was closed around 1550. In 1586 the church came into the hands of the Protestants.

It was a Gothic cruciform church that had survived the village fire of 1692, but where the western nave and tower had already been demolished before 1839, so that in the end only choir and transept remained and the west side was replaced by a school.

The church was demolished in 1898 and a new reformed church building was built in 1899. This is a brick hall church under a gable roof with a pre-built tower. This tower includes an open wooden bell floor.

A transept was added in 1957. The number of seats is 950.

The PKN was created in 2004 through a merger. A number of members then split off and joined the Hersteld Hervormde Kerk, which moved into a new church building in 2007: the Bethel Church.
