The Guardian Angel Chapel was built in 1695 by Johannes Speck from Zug. At the time, he ran a brickworks a few hundred meters north of the village of Würenlingen. The chapel has been renovated and refurbished several times, and there were times when it was even supposed to be demolished. Fortunately, not! It is on the cycle path to Döttingen and is popular with hikers and cyclists as a stopping point to light the votive candle in front of the altar.
