"The Krumme Lutter is one of the two source rivers of the Lutter in the southern Harz, north of Bad Lauterberg in the Göttingen district in Lower Saxony. It rises at an altitude of less than 620 m at the Aschentalshalbe and then flows south past the former barite mines Wolkenhügel and Hoher Trost before it merges with the Graden Lutter in Kupferhütte to form the Lutter."
