Housed in a 17th-century guardhouse, the Musée de la Bataille de Rocroi tells the story of the decisive Battle of Rocroi on May 19, 1643, in which the young Duke of Enghien (later known as the Grand Condé) won a French victory over the Spanish army during the Thirty Years' War. The museum features a relief map of the star-shaped fortified town, models of soldiers, and informative panels on troop movements and the historical context.
