Greyfriars Kirkyard is the churchyard surrounding Greyfriars Kirk in Edinburgh. It is located at the southern end of the historic city center. Burials have taken place here since the late 16th century. A number of prominent Edinburghers are buried here. The cemetery is run jointly by the city government and a non-profit association.
