"Barrinha de Esmoriz or Lagoa de Paramos is a coastal lagoon of brackish water, with an area of 396 hectares. Lagoa de Paramos is located between the municipalities of Espinho and Ovar bathing the village of Paramos and the city of Esmoriz. Barrinha de Esmoriz is part of an area of 396 hectares considered by BirdLife International as an Important Area for the Preservation of Birds [2] Among the local species is Charadrius alexandrinus and cane passerines: Acrocephalus arundinaceus and Acrocephalus scipaceus. migratory birds in the fall.
