Jakob von Weiher (Polish Jakub Wejher - * 1609; † February 20, 1657) was 1643 - 1657 Voivode of Marienburg and founder of the town of Wejherowo (New Town). During the siege of Smolensk in 1633/34, Jakob v. Weiher vowed to build two churches if he survived the siege. In addition to the churches, Weiher also had a Way of the Cross and Calvary with 19 chapels built, the number of which later increased to 26 (Wikipedia).
