Choice between a gravel path or a single track. The single track contains some technical sections and there is a technical practice loop near the Tjoekebos.

Around 1870 a railway was built between Poperinge and Hazebroek. In 1915 the army built a double track and dismantled everything after the war.

This railway was the most important and virtually only line to supply Ypres and the front with soldiers and ammunition. Remy Siding, a group of evacuation hospitals that made priority use of this railway line, was also located along this line.
