Personally I prefer these types of simply decorated churches. In this case the decoration is also mainly found outside in the very colorful staircase

The Church of Santa Lucia stands on the hill of the same name at the end of Via Garibaldi. Access to the church is through the long staircase, not far from the historic center and Arzachena's square. The white façade is enlivened by the arched portal, the central oculus and above it by the sloping gables. The interior consists of a large central nave and two smaller naves, lit by two tall arched windows on either side. In the northern part of the church there is an apse-presbytery, in the niche of which the original altar houses the statue of the owner. For the celebrations, according to the conciliar reform, a new altar was erected in front of the previous one.

      Attachment:

The building has three naves: the central nave is separated from the presbytery by a triumphal arch, while on the sides it is separated by three arches from the two side naves formed by three small bays. The secondary entrance to the church is in the first section of the nave on the left. The presbytery rises two steps above the floor of the hall and ends with an apse with windows.

      Structural plant:

The church consists of an outer wall of stones and granite blocks, which is plastered inside and out. Inside, a series of three arches separates the naves and supports the roof, which is made of trusses, timber scaffolding, brick and cast cement. exterior roof tiles.

      Floors and walkways:

The surface of the hall is covered with chippings, with a double collar decorating the center of the nave. The choir floor was redesigned with marble tiles.

      Story:

      06/30/1926 – 06/30/1926 (church building)

Construction work began on June 30, 1926 with the laying of the foundation stone.

      10/20/1937 – 10/20/1937 (church blessing)

On October 20, 1937, the church was officially opened for worship: Bishop Albino Morera celebrated the church's rite of blessing.

1943 ‐ 1944 (change in use of the building)

During the Second World War, in 1943 and 1944, the church was occupied and used by soldiers from the Italian Navy.

2005 - 2006 (renovation of the church roof)

In 2006 the work on the roof of the church was completed.
