The Ice Cave in Paradana is in the Paradana Nature Reserve in the Ternow Forest in the Goriška region of Slovenia, where ice can be found all year round.
The ice cave is accessible via a mouth hole located at around 1100 m above sea level, which is reached from the road via a walk of around 10 minutes. The cave is about 850 m deep; its length is given as 7311 m.
Ice was extracted from the cave for the city of Trieste. The ice was mined and transported in blocks of 10 to 40 kg at night to Trieste, where it was used to cool the catch on fishing ships. It is also said to have been exported to Egypt in the 19th century.

Let bike stand up, finish and walk down 10 minutes. The ice cave is accessible via an orifice at an altitude of 1100 m above sea level, which can be reached by a 10-minute walk from the road. The sinkhole is known for the inversion of vegetation stages (vegetation reversal). The cave is 385 m deep; their length is given as 1550 m. Recently a sequel was found.
