It was built in 1850-1856 under the care of priest Joakim Dembinski. according to Tomas Tišeckis project. Governor of Vilnius in 1867. offered to hand over the Dūkšta church to the Orthodox. Russian Minister of Internal Affairs in 1868 ordered the church to be closed. She in 1869 in the beginning turned into a church. 1868 at the end of the year, the peasant Jackus Klim took the request of the parishioners to the tsar in Petersburg for the return of the Dūkšta Church. The citizen was arrested, 4 more persons who signed the petition were arrested and interrogated. Catholics in 1876 asked for permission to hold services in the chapel of the parish cemetery. Orthodox priest in 1876. the chapel was demolished, the wood was sold. Subsequent requests by parishioners to reclaim the church were rejected. Church in 1918 repaired, became a parish.
