The Alki oak tree growing in the Kulis landscape reserve of the Neries Regional Park near the Paalkii Mound is the thickest in the territory of the regional park. The girth of the oak trunk is as much as 5.12 m, the height is 18 m, the age is over 300 years. The area where this protected oak grows is special. It is a chain of natural hills called Alkai mountains (alki was the name of the old holy places). Once behind them lay the holy forest of Alkai, which is also mentioned in the 16th century. in the sources. Therefore, the newly discovered hundred-year-old mighty tree is named Alkai oak.
