Kostel svatého Jana Křtitele se nachází ve Frýdek-Místek near Frýdeckého náměstí. The church itself suffered losses during this war when it was desecrated and damaged by Mansfeld's soldiers on Christmas Day 1626. The completion of the construction of the tower began in October 1650. April 12, 1688 was an important event for the church and the entire city. On that day, a great fire broke out, which burned the entire inner city together with the castle, parish school, parish church and the church itself within a few hours.
