Kotstrandarkirkja is a church near Kotströnd in Ölfus. It was built in 1909 and consecrated on 14 November after a decision was made to close the churches in Reykjavik and Arnarbæl. Kotstrandarkirkja has been a subsidiary church of Hveragerði since 1940, but until then the priest sat in Arnarbæl and ministered to Hjalla, Selvog and Kotstrandarkirkja. The people of Hvergerðin attended the church in Kotströnd until their church was finished.
