The Rüdigsdorfer Schweiz observation tower was opened in April 2024 and is located at the intersection of the Karst hiking trail and the primeval forest path and is intended to serve as both a viewing and observation platform.

There is now a newly built observation tower north of Rüdigsdorf. On April 25, 2024, later than originally planned, the South Harz Landscape Conservation Association will ceremoniously inaugurate its largest construction project to date. This unusual tower cost more than €200,000. Not only the tower is being built, but also a flower meadow, insect hotels, bat and nesting boxes and information boards. The association is also planting fresh fruit trees on around 2000 square meters around the observation tower.
