The castle ruins can be hiked quickly and easily from Neustadt. It is said to have been built around 1120 and offers an impressive backdrop. It can be visited at any time and an iron staircase leads to the ruined tower, from which you have a wonderful view. There is a very good restaurant just below the castle ruins.
