The Reserve is located in the northern Apennines, in the upper basin of the Limentra stream. The

The territory is mountainous and scarcely inhabited by man, covered almost continuously by woods, especially beech. There are secular specimens of deciduous trees. At lower altitudes we find mixed copses of Turkey oak, hazelnut and manna ash. The artificial reforestation of conifers was particularly represented, among which those of douglasia stand out also and above all for their majesty (with plants of an average height of 35/40 m). There are numerous minor tree species such as sycamore maple, cherry, mountain ash, major ash, willow. The forest cover is pleasantly interrupted by extensive meadows of high ecological value.
