    The construction of the footbridge enabled the separation of pedestrian and car traffic and improved traffic flow for over 20,000 people. vehicles passing this route every day. The Rzeszów footbridge is unique in the whole country, not only because of its shape - round load-bearing structure and slanted supports - but also because of the equipment: specially tempered and glued glass for the balustrade, enclosed lift shafts, illumination lighting system for the entire facility, and finally African wood from which the footbridge platform was made. The surface of the footbridge was lined with the exotic type of azobe bongossi wood. Imported from Cameroon, azobe is one of the hardest and most resistant types of wood in the world.
