Near the cemetery church Askitariou lies the monastery abandoned in 1930, which, like so many, was dedicated to Corfu the Almighty. It was first mentioned in documents in 1371, most of the surviving parts date back to 1790.
In the basement of the cellar is still an old olive oil press.
If you enter the building carefully, you can see bats hanging from the ceiling. The structure is still stable, but you should exercise caution when entering.translated by
