The first public water point in Hanover was located here as early as the Middle Ages.
Later, the first river water art was built here to supply the municipal fountain with the so-called click mill.
Demolished and replaced in 1896 due to dilapidation and age.
Although it survived the Second World War, it was demolished in 1963 in connection with the reconstruction of the Leine Castle.
