The intersection owes its name "Semm's corner" to the Semm merchant family and charcoal dealer. They worked in the striking corner house with the two-tone brick facade for many decades. The massive building was retained in a prominent position during the construction of the shopping center and successfully integrated into the new building complex. At Semm's corner in Bebra there are three listed buildings: Nürnberger Straße 39 (butcher's shop), 42 (Brackery Brackery) and 44 (Holiday clothing). The latter is Haus Amelunxen, a representative three-story half-timbered building built in 1710.
