During the Cold War, depot bunkers, so-called barrier houses, were mostly set up in the middle of the forest. It was used to store explosives and detonators for potential road and bridge detonations. These bunkers were equipped with very elaborate door locks and several doors arranged one behind the other. Two such barrier houses have been built here in the forest embankment. Lattice doors allow a view inside.
