The commemorative plaque facing east proclaims in beautiful Latin script: “This monument simple and unostentatious like you noble, surrounded with flowering fields, which erect their improvement thanks to you. Your faithful wife Maximiliane Caroline Amalie was widowed by Nostitz Freyin von Werther in 1801.” The attentive reader will find the following words on the western commemorative plaque: “Dedicated to Johann Carl Adolph von Nostitz in Groß Radisch. Electoral Saxon Major and War Commissarius in Upper Lusatia. born 16 Dec 1743. died 26 Dec 1800”
