It is also known as the "Klingende" (ringing church) because of its special acoustics.
Built according to a design by Berlin architect Erhard Schmidt,
its vaults and windows are modeled on the shape of an upturned boat.
The outdoor pulpit is reminiscent of the earlier open-air services.
