The water from the Gardon was dammed at the dam and conveyed to the mill through this narrow channel cut into the rock.
This former canal now serves as a hiking trail, but only up to the dam. Unfortunately, the further course of the hiking trail was blocked by the property owner.

Indeed, I confirm that you can only go as far as the waterfall. The rest of the path is closed by a gate... be careful to go there with good shoes, the stones are quite smooth along the small canal and you walk along the side of the "cliff".
