The Soiernseen and the mountain forest around in this basin is as beautiful as an enchanted place from a beautiful fairy tale. King Ludwig II probably saw it that way when he had two huts built up here. The most beautiful is the panorama of the lower lake below the Schöttelkarspitze in the afternoon. Up to this point, a hike up the mountain road from Krün or Wallgau is a tedious affair.
